Residential Services
La Cheim's Residential Treatment Center, Browning House, provides a safe and nurturing environment for emotionally disturbed adolescents, ages 12 - 18 whose circumstances do not permit them to live with their families or guardians. Browning House's clinical staff facilitates daily groups and structured activities that are designed to enhance social, emotional and behavioral skills in support of each resident's treatment plan and future goals.
Our professional staff
The Browning House staff includes a family therapist who works with family members and guardians to enhance and repair relationships, and behavior specialists who develop and implement positive behavior intervention plans. Additionally, children have access to psychiatric and nursing services on a weekly basis.
Our connection to school
Browning House residents attend school at La Cheim School's Richmond campus. The school and group home staff communicate daily and collaborate closely to address each resident's social, emotional , and academic needs in accordanc with each child's Individual Education Program (IEP), Transition and Treatment Plans.
