Therapeutic Behavioral Services

La Cheim's Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is an effective program which provides one-to-one counseling for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents at risk of losing their current living situation with a parent/caregiver due to behavioral problems.

Our Services

TBS is a mental health service available to youth who have serious emotional problems.  TBS will help youth and their family, caregiver, or guardian learn new ways of controlling problem behavior and ways of increasing the kinds of behavior that will allow the youth to be successful.

La Cheim TBS facilitates behavioral change through creative use of cognitive behavioral interventions and collaboration with the youth, parent /caregiver, and a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.  Services are provided to youth throughout Contra Costa County.

Our Clients

Our TBS program serves children and adolescents ages 2 to 19 years who are impacted by extreme social / emotional and behavioral difficulties, putting them at risk of removal from their current living situation.  TBS also supports children and adolescents moving from higher levels of care, to lower levels of care such as a foster home or back home.
